Significant performance Between 1989 and 1990 I was a department specialist in the area of Computer Aided Design which, at Ericsson, was  a technical  career position with the status equal that of a line manager responsible for about 100 persons.

As a technical manager at Ellemtel between 1994-1995 I was the top-level responsible for the hardware development support system at Ellemtel. This had equal status as the line manager for the same system (including about 50 persons).

In 1997 I took the initiative to use the Matrix Product Data Management (PDM) system for supporting the coordination of incremental development of SW at Ericsson. Between 1997 and 2002 I had several positions related to this: technical project manager, technical responsible, information sys-tem architect, information system coordinator, etc. This system had profound impacts at Ericsson and is now the backbone in the coordination of the development of the 3rd generation of mobile systems.

Between 1998 - 2003 I worked halftime towards my Ph.D. in parallel with my work at Ericsson. The combination of a long industrial experience with rigorous research findings resulted in the “Activity Domain Theory”, now published as a book by IGI Global. This theory is an attempt to integrate  technical, social and individual aspects into a coherent whole based on the praxis philosophy. This approach has turned out to be productive in both research and my profession as a consultant.
